The mobile food bank will take place as usual on the second Thursday of September at the First Flight Elementary School parking lot in Kill Devil Hills This month’s visit will be Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4-6 p.m.

When participants drive up to the check in, they should not exit the vehicle to register. A volunteer will approach and take information. Volunteers will then load everything into the vehicle, so leave sufficient room in the vehicle for groceries to be loaded.

The mobile food program is available to area residents who struggle to make ends meet and are in need of emergency assistance.  This may be senior citizens living on fixed incomes, disabled persons, any individual or family currently receiving food stamps and working families who are making tough choices between buying food and paying for other necessities.
