Health Care Task Force meets Tuesday

On Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, the Health Care Task Force, created by the Town of Manteo Board of Commissioners, meets at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Dare County Administration Building, located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo.

Malcolm Fearing, the task force chairman, shared the agenda with the town’s commissioners on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022. He invited the entire board to come.

At the meeting, task force members will consider a sub-committee organization chart.

The 2021-2022 Dare County Community Needs Assessment will be presented to the task force.

Collaborating on the assessment are the Dare County Department of Health & Human Services, The Outer Banks Hospital and Vidant Health System.

Another presentation will be from Joe Rockenstein, chief executive officer of the Engelhard Medical Center.

At the end of the meeting, a time for public comment will be offered.

The meeting will adjourn to a reception for Rockenstein at 300 Sir Walter Raleigh Street in Manteo. The public is invited to attend the reception.
