Sundays at the Overlook series at The Elizabethan Gardens features singer/songwriters

The Elizabethan Gardens kicked off “Sundays at the Overlook,” a six-week singer/songwriter music series sponsored by Rock Star Booking LLC, on September 11. The series is free with regular paid admission.

“We encourage guests to bring a chair, come relax, and listen to music amidst the beauty of the Gardens,” said executive director Theresa Armendarez. The event will take place at the Gardens Overlook Terrace lawn which is adjacent to the Roanoke Sound. Details and ticket information can be found at elizabethangardens.org/music-series/.

The series will be held Sundays from mid-September to mid-October 2022. Remaining dates include September 18, September 25, October 2, October 9 and October 23. Featured artists for each of the dates are September 18 – Julie Clark, September 25 – Matt McGuire, October 2 – Ruth Wyand, October 9 – Derek Smith and October 23 – Phil Watson. Dustin Furlow played September 11.

These performance events are rain or shine. In the case of inclement weather, the performances will be moved to the Odom Building.

Events will begin at noon with artist performances from 1 to 3 p.m. Cash bar and food truck will be available.
