Patsy, known personally as “The Herb Lady”, and professionally as “Dr. Patsy, N.D.”, owner of “A Natural Health Center” in Manteo NC, leaves a legacy of positive impact on all those she encountered throughout her life.

A native of Portsmouth, Va., Patricia was the daughter of the late John Walton Thompson Sr. and Doris Virginia Odom Thompson, and sister to the late John “Buddy” Thompson.

She loved to sing and dance, play the piano, and spend time with her family and friends.  Patsy loved to laugh and to teach natural healing, but most of all, she always loved others as Jesus Christ loved and shared the truth of God’s Word in her daily walk. She was such a treasure with a wonderful sense of humor and a real zest for life.

Cherishing her loving memory are two children, Darlene Thomsen Sells (Doug, son-in-love) and Darrell E. Thomsen Jr. (Kitty); six grandchildren, Philip Brown (Mike), Jenni Scott (Billy), Melissa Miller (Tyler), Christine Thomsen (Sam), Matthew Thomsen, and Brian Sells (deceased); and seven great grandchildren, Wesley Sawyer, Justin Sawyer (Lynnsey), Daisy, Amy Miller, Callie Miller, Megan Sells, and Leah Sells.

A celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Roanoke Island Presbyterian Church in Manteo with Chaplain Col. Darrell E. Thomsen Jr., Ret. officiating.

A heartfelt thanks to the “Adoration Hospice Team”, and to family and friends caring for Patsy during this time. In lieu of flowers please send a contribution to unionmissionministries.org – The Union Mission Ministries, 5100 East Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA, 23502, (757-627-8686).
