Dare League of Women Voters will welcome Rev. Suzanne Parker Miller, executive director of Pastors for NC Children, to speak about the Leandro Plan. “The Supreme Court of North Carolina’s landmark decision in Leandro v. State of North Carolina (1997) affirmed the fundamental right of every child to have the opportunity to receive a sound basic education. Decades later, we are still in court,” noted a Dare LWV press release.

Pastors for NC Children is an independent ministry and outreach mission group comprised of pastors and church leaders from across the state, organizing to support quality public education opportunities for all North Carolina children. Rev. Suzanne will provide an overview of Leandro and will take questions from the audience.
