Northeast North Carolina Niche Agriculture Conference to bring full day of education and networking to Barco

The first annual Northeast North Carolina Niche Agriculture Conference will be held at the Currituck County Extension Center in Barco on November 18, 2022. A full day of education and networking is planned.

Horticultural topics including ginger production in high tunnels and fields, cut flower production, growing microgreens and understanding GAP certification will be presented in the morning sessions. Lunch will be provided and will highlight a guest speaking on marketing small farms successfully. Afternoon sessions will feature small farm livestock topics including poultry, swine and small ruminant production and NC Choices.

There will also be time designated to visit with state and federal agricultural agencies and other exhibitors. Register for free at NENCNicheAgConf2022.eventbrite.com so Currituck Extension can get a count for meals.
