Miss North Carolina to make appearance in Columbia

Miss North Carolina Karolyn Martin will be a special guest at the Scuppernong River Festival on October 8 in Columbia in Tyrrell County.
Martin, 22, is an honors graduate of Appalachian State University. She will attend law school after her reign.
Martin’s platform for the year is health and nutrition and she will compete in the Miss America Pageant later this year. The Charlotte resident competed in the state pageant as Miss Metrolina.
