Tomlinson and Associates, LLC and Brent Tomlinson have announced the sale of the business and property of Island Wood Crafts, LTD., located at 776 Old Wharf Road in Wanchese. The business also has a showroom located at 3105 N. Croatan Hwy. in Kill Devil Hills.

Island Woodcrafts is a third generation custom cabinet manufacturer and installer. The business was started in 1950 by Gus and Evelyn Granitzki in Skillman, New Jersey. They moved to Manteo in 1972 and began Island Woodcrafts in their garage with the help of two of their children. It was the first cabinet shop on the Outer Banks. Purchased by three of their children in 1986, it has been a locally recognized business for 50 years.

The business was purchased by J Coast Properties, LLC and Craftsmen Woodworks, LTD. Jason Hadrava, formerly from Palm City, Fla., manages the LLCs. “Jason has an extensive background in construction, CNC manufacturing equipment, CAD/CAM design, cabinet construction, and installation,” noted the announcement of the sale. “The team is excited to continue to grow and serve the Outer Banks area and beyond.”
