North Carolina Marine Fisheries Proclamation FF-57-2022 closes the commercial spot fishery in North Carolina Coastal Fishing Waters at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.

The fishery will re-open Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

This action is being taken to comply with the requirements of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission Addendum III to the Omnibus Amendment to the Interstate Fishery Management Plans for Spanish mackerel, spot and spotted seatrout.
