The Town of Nags Head’s administrative offices as well as the bulk/brush yard will be closed Monday, January 2.

For the week of December 26, 2022 blue route trash collection is set for Thursday, December 29, green route trash collection is set for Friday, December 30 and commercial dumpsters will be collected Friday, December 30.

For the week of January 2, 2023, recycling collection will be held Monday, January 2 (curbside recycling subscribers only), blue route trash collection is set for Tuesday January 3 and Thursday, January 5, green route trash collection is set for Tuesday, January 3 and Friday, January 6 and commercial dumpsters will be collected Tuesday, January 3; Wednesday, January 4; and Friday, January 6.

“Please recycle your cardboard!” noted the town’s newsletter. Cardboard-only dumpsters are available at Town Hall (5401 S. Croatan Hwy.) and Public Works (2200 Lark Ave.). Commingled recyclables can be dropped off at Town Hall and Public Works at any time on any day.

In Nags Head, residents may place undecorated, tinsel-free Christmas trees on the side of the road in front of their property. The town will collect them as part of its monthly curbside bulk item/brush collection service.
