OBX Storm has announced a new player development program for young athletes, which will be managed as the Junior Stars Program. This new program will focus on drills to improve player skills without competitive play. Each Junior Star will learn more about the fundamentals and basics of soccer and then build upon that knowledge by licensed coaches, noted an OBX Storm press release.

The training sessions for this group will begin in late February and will go through May. Each player will receive an OBX Storm Junior Stars training shirt. Children born in 2011-2017 are eligible to participate in the program.

“The OBX Storm organization is focused on player development, teamwork and allowing for additional competitive league play for local youth,” stated the release. Scholarships are available through obxstorm.net.
