Gentle Expert Memorycare (GEM) Day Services is partnering with the Theatre of Dare to provide an afternoon of entertainment with The Riff Tides and a staged reading of the one act play, Do You Remember Me? Tickets are $20 each and all proceeds from this event will go directly to GEM and Theatre of Dare to support both programs.

Starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023, Theatre of Dare will perform a staged reading of the one act play, Do You Remember Me? This show was written and directed by Stuart Parks II. “A true story dressed up as an amusing account, ‘Do You Remember Me?’ relates the progression of a character before, after, and during his diagnosis of dementia. Told from a firsthand observer over a period of years, it is a light and touching tale of what is most important in life when time is at stake, and how memories are never truly lost when they become stories to cherish and inspire.”

After a short intermission around 3 p.m., during which attendees can grab a drink and a snack, The Riff Tides will take the stage. “Rock and Roll is Here To Stay!” noted the program announcement. “Many bands include their interpretation of some “Oldies” in their playlist. How a about a Band true to the Original Tunes.” This six-member group features three vocalists, including a poodle skirt-attired dynamic female vocalist, playing nothing but 50s and 60s classics – Elvis, Fats Domino, Drifters, Patsy Cline, Chuck Berry, Danny and the Juniors, Dion, even a little Hank Williams are included in the playlist.
