Manteo High School’s “Bring Your Parent to School Day” event returns Friday, March 10.

Manteo High School parents and guardians are invited to join their child in the classroom and experience a day in the life of their student. Parents can sign up for a whole day (8:20 a.m.-3:20 p.m.), half-day (8:20-11:15 a.m. or 11:15 a.m.-3:20 p.m.) or single class period visit. Day-of registration is available in the school lobby.

Parents/guardians who attend will shadow their student the entire time. There will be open parking Friday, so park wherever there is an open spot. Enter at the main entrance and sign-in at the front lobby.

If parents/guardians are at school for lunch (during third period), they will need to either bring a lunch or purchase one.

Manteo High School administrators are looking forward to the return of this beloved school event. Prior to the pandemic, nearly 140 parents attended in 2019. “Bring Your Parent to School Day” gives families an opportunity to get involved in their child’s educational experience, connect with their child’s teachers and discover how the curriculum has changed since their high school years.
