Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7 ESV

Walking the beach looking for shells is an enjoyable outing. I don’t have a criteria for picking up shells to bring home. They simply have to appeal to me. I like the imperfect ones, the old ones with barnacles and little ones that are so delicate. Before they go in my pocket, I give them a good look and turn them over to make sure they are abandoned of critters.

In my prayer time I have learned that I don’t have to carry the burden of my concerns alone. Life is so much more peaceful when I turn it over the God. My heart feels lighter, my breathing is better and joy returns. I know that whatever God will do will benefit me and he can “right a wrong.” It often means He teaches us to trust Him at those times when we are pleading for help and hope. We aren’t immune to those times. Casting all your anxieties on him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 ESV  Hand it over to God, everything. He is capable.
