Reception held for Leadership OBX graduates

The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, together with program sponsor The Outer Banks Hospital, congratulated the 2022-23 graduating class of the Leadership OBX program at a reception held at the Outer Banks Brewing Station on April 14, 2023.

“Establishing a sense of community and enthusiastic leadership are cornerstones of this Leadership OBX program,” stated a chamber press release.

Chamber president and CEO Karen Brown said the program reinforces the chamber’s commitment to the area and to developing community leaders.

“The Leadership OBX program offers a forum to enlighten and engage current and future leaders of the Outer Banks community,” said Brown. “The program provides opportunities for participants to develop and enhance their leadership skills and gain a better understanding of the community.”

Graduates of the 2022-23 LOBX program include: Meaghan Beasley, Dare County Library; Daniel Brock, Outer Banks Health; Kimberly Carroll, State Farm, Kimberly Carroll Agency; Amanda Cochran, Comfort Inn; Bill Coleman, Outer Banks SPCA; Reide Corbett, Coastal Studies Institute/ECU; Vjollca Cottrell, First National Bank; Alyson Flynn, NC Coastal Federation; Jean Freeman, Interfaith Community Outreach; Sherri Gerepka, Vacasa; Linda Leiser, Community Care Clinic of Dare; Karen Loopman-Davis, Outer Banks Brewing Station; Taylor McConnell, NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island; Kay Nickens, Town of Duck; Mandy Phillips, Holiday Inn Express OBX; Donna Quill, Carolina Designs Realty; Jasper Rogers, Town of Kitty Hawk Fire Department; Walker Ross, GR Little Insurance; Zachary Shepherd, Outer Banks Health; and Chris Wilson, CMIT Solutions.
