“We are extremely proud of our Manteo Mathletes and the success they had in this academic competition. We look forward to increasing the opportunities for our students to participate in additional academic competitions district-wide and continued academic successes for all of our students in the future,” said Dare County Schools Superintendent Steve Basnight.

The North Carolina State Math contest is a network of N.C. mathematics contests offered in four divisions (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Comprehensive), culminating in state-level final competition. Various North Carolina universities and community colleges offer local qualifying contests, advancing top students to state-level competition.
