Shake Hatteras ∏ takes off Monday, Aug. 12, 2024 at Neptune’s in Rodanthe.

This is the fourth year for the homegrown, do it yourself festival that started in Salvo. The festival features music, this year from 10 bands and solo performers on two stages, a vendors’ market, a food truck row, charity raffles and carnival games.

The festival runs from 1 to 10 p.m.

Music will flow from two stages.

At the Shrimp Shack Stage at 1:30 p.m. is Anchor Blazer, at 3:30 Porcelain Parrot, 5:45 The Sweaters and 8:30 Zulitas. At the Ghost Crab Stage, at 1 p.m., Martin Sommers; 2:30 Mary Joy McDaniel and Lili Jay, 4:30 Teets and Elliott, 7 o’clock Vstlty. At 10 p.m., Psychic Scream performs.

Neptune’s Restaurant and Dive Bar is located at milepost 40, 24394 NC 12 in Rodanthe.
