Victoria Jane Bates, nee Barr, known affectionately as Vicky, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Kitty Hawk, NC, at the age of 69. Born on June 1, 1955, in California, Vicky lived a life marked by a devotion to her family and her beloved dog.

Vicky is survived by her mother, Shirley Anne Barr, her brother Kenny Barr, her husband, John Bates, and her cherished dog, Dexter. Those who knew her will remember Vicky for her love of home, which was her sanctuary, and the joy she found in her daily life with John and Dexter.

A memorial service will be held privately for family members at a later date. Vicky’s memory will be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
