The Nags Head Democratic Precinct will hold an “Old Time Summer Fun Ice Cream Social” on Thursday, September 12, 2024. The event will include a postcard writing session before the ice cream social.

The postcard writing will be held from 4-6 p.m. and the ice cream social will begin at 6 p.m. The event will be held at Booty Treats, located at MP 15.5, 6406 S. VA Dare Trail in Nags Head.

“This event is open to everyone! Join us for the postcard writing session where volunteers will have the opportunity to write postcards in support of local, state, and national Democratic candidates. Whether you’re passionate about supporting our candidates or just want to enjoy some ice cream, you’re welcome to attend any part of the event,” noted the event announcement. “You do not need to write postcards to get ice cream!”

Local candidates will also be in attendance.

“We’re thrilled to bring our community together for this special event. The postcard writing session is a great way to make a difference in the upcoming elections, and the ice cream social is the perfect way to relax, connect, and enjoy time with friends and neighbors,” said Mary Kelley, precinct chair. “We hope to see everyone there!”
