OBX Storm 13U Fury team members opened their fall season with a second place showing at the Loudoun Premier Cup in Loudoun, Va. August 16-18, securing them a platinum ranking of #9 in North Carolina. “Facing their toughest competition since the Jamaican squad at the USA Cup in 2023, Fury once again dug deep and proved they belong among the elite!” noted an OBX Storm news release.

Coach Matt Hart, with the assistance of coach Trahey Maner, led the squad through two draws on Saturday against two stellar clubs: #49 ranked Virginia Valor FC and District of Columbia FC. In Sunday morning’s semi-final, Fury pulled out a huge upset win against McLean YS, ranked #14 in Virginia. Fury’s 1-0 win took them to the Finals against #21 ranked Vienna YS. “Congratulations to Matt Hart, Trahey Maner, team Fury, and all of the parents and community members who continue to support our local youth sports clubs!” stated the release. “Stay tuned to OBX Storm Soccer Club’s socials for updates on Fury’s upcoming season in the Virginia Premier Soccer League.”
