On Oct. 7, 2024, Dare County commissioners appointed or reappointed individuals to the following boards:

Land Transfer Tax Appeals Board: Eddie Twyne, who is replacing Jack Overman, who served as the commissioner-appointed member of the Land Transfer Tax Appeals Board. Overman passed away.

Library Board – Dare County. Reappointed Mary Lou Hoffert, Ruth Perkins and Adrienne Palma.

Thomas A. Baum Center Advisory Board. The Older Adult Services Nominating Committee recommended the six following individuals be appointed to the newly created Thomas A. Baum Center Advisory Board. The commissioners concurred. Appointed to three year terms are Lisa Minerich, Angelo Sonnesso, Antha Bishop, Jennifer Tolbert, Laura Fitzpatrick and Karen Moeller.
