More than a million: North Carolina player bags record digital instant jackpot

An Iredell County player has scored a huge jackpot online, reported the North Carolina Education Lottery.

A lucky lottery player from Mooresville recently won the biggest digital instant jackpot in North Carolina lottery history today with a $1.3 million prize.

The lucky winner bought a $10 Bison Bonanza ticket and instantly won the Epic Jackpot, which just reached $1,331,466 at the time. The odds of that win were 1 in 3.1 million.

The last Epic Jackpot win occurred on Sept. 7 with a $307,493 Wheel of Bonuses win in Hudson. The jackpot then reset at $50,000 and had been climbing ever since.
