John Edward Simpson, 64, died November 15, 2024 in Ocracoke. He was born June 16, 1960 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on November 23 at Ocracoke United Methodist Church; gathering follows at the Methodist Rec Hall at 2:30 p.m. Private burial will take place at the Ocracoke Community Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Ocracoke Island Decoy Carvers Guild or the WOVV Radio Station.
