The well-respected team behind Max Bet is no stranger to Bayliss Boatworks. Previously entrusting us with the repower of their 66’ Spencer, they once again turned to our team to bring their vision to life with Bayliss 64′. It was an honor to embark on this project, which exemplifies the unwavering craftsmanship and attention to detail synonymous with Bayliss Boatworks.

Tournament-Ready Design

Max Bet was built with an aggressive tournament schedule in mind. True to Bayliss Boatworks standards, every element of this vessel was designed and constructed in-house, with hands-on input from her owners and captain. This collaborative approach ensures she delivers peak performance and unparalleled functionality during tournament season.

Her cockpit is a study in both form and function, featuring hand-selected teak decking and coverboards. Custom refrigeration and storage solutions enhance the upper and lower mezzanine, which also includes a tackle center grill, dedicated storage, and a chilled freshwater dispenser. Release Marine outfitted the cockpit with a custom rocket launcher, while the bridge boasts two helm chairs and a Bayliss custom port-side peninsula console. The bridge seating includes a forward console bench with refrigeration beneath and a starboard-side bench with dry storage below. For enhanced functionality, Max Bet is equipped with dual-pump hydraulic riggers.

Exterior details include custom transom artwork, faux teak accents on the toe rail and half-round by Everett Nautical, and custom cushions by C-Worthy. Expertly painted by the Bayliss team, her hullsides and topside showcase the custom Max Bet gray, complemented by a sleek black and metallic gray boot stripe that seamlessly ties into her transom design.

Interior Excellence

Step through Max Bet’s teak salon door, and you’re greeted by a meticulously designed salon and galley. Teak veneer wall coverings and cabinetry provide a timeless aesthetic, while abundant seating—an L-shaped sofa to port and loveseat starboard—ensures comfort. Storage solutions abound, with illuminated compartments beneath each sofa and additional storage integrated into the Bayliss custom salon table.

The galley features modern Thunder White granite countertops and teak cabinetry, housing top-of-the-line appliances, including teak-veneered Sub-Zero dual refrigerators and freezers, a Wolf two-burner induction cooktop, a Wolf speed oven, and a fully plumbed Brew Express coffeemaker. The main electrical panel is tucked behind teak cabinet doors, offering easy accessibility. A cozy two-person dinette with a matching granite top completes the space, providing the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the water.

Lower Accommodations

Below deck, Max Bet offers three staterooms, three heads, and a glass-fronted rod locker etched with her signature poker chip motif—a detail echoed throughout the vessel. The dayhead includes a concealed, stacked washer and dryer for added convenience.

The port stateroom features two bunks, with a Pullman discreetly concealed behind teak wall coverings. The starboard stateroom offers two stationary bunks with storage beneath. In the master stateroom, teak cabinetry surrounds the bunk, providing exceptional storage capabilities. Each en suite head is adorned with Titanium granite countertops, while the dayhead stands out with Thunder White granite, mirroring the design seen in the galley.

Performance Powerhouse

Powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M96X engines, each producing 1,974 horsepower, Max Bet delivers exceptional performance. Her Seakeeper 18 provides unmatched stability, while dual Northern Lights 25 kW generators ensure reliability. Additional equipment includes electric steering, an FCI watermaker, and cutting-edge marine electronics installed by Custom Marine Electronics, such as a Furuno Omni Sonar and Starlink for seamless connectivity at sea.

Craftsmanship Delivered

The culmination of over 60,000 man-hours, Max Bet was delivered in October 2024 and was designed to optimize fishability and comfort in any environment, with Costa Rica’s tournament season as a primary focus.

Currently en route to Costa Rica, Max Bet is set to arrive just in time to kick off the 2025 tournament season—it’s an honor to have this team as part of the Bayliss Boatworks family.
