Mary Ellon Ballance to speak in Rodanthe

At 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Civic Association will host Dare County commissioner Mary Ellon Ballance as part of its 2025 Speaker Series.

Elected as Dare County commissioner in November 2024, Ballance is a business owner in Hatteras village. She previously served as Hatteras Island representative to the Dare County Board of Education, and was president of the Cape Hatteras Booster Club, among other volunteer and leadership roles.

“Come out to meet and discuss current topics of concern to you and the villages with Hatteras Island’s commissioner,” invited organizers.
