Prepare to be captivated by the energy and rhythms of Taikoza, an internationally acclaimed taiko drum group, performing live at College of The Albemarle’s (COA) Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 at 7 p.m. This performance will feature traditional Japanese drumming and the melodies of bamboo flutes.
Led by director Marco Lienhard, Taikoza offers a unique performance that blends the deep, resounding beats of taiko drums with the beautiful sounds of the shakuhachi.
“Taikoza has thrilled audiences worldwide,” stated the COA announcement of the event. “The evening will be an electrifying celebration of sound, energy, and cultural connection. Whether you are familiar with taiko drumming or experiencing it for the first time, this is a performance you will not want to miss.”
Tickets are now available at albemarle.edu/pac. “Reserve your spot today for this unforgettable performance,” invited COA.
