The OBX Blanketeers will hold their annual Quilt Show on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Duck Methodist Church. More than 400 quilts made by the group will be displayed.

This free event is open to the public.

After the show, the quilts will be donated to local and regional organizations that support children and adults who are ill or in need. Past quilt recipients include the local dialysis center, Dare County Head Start, local preschools, GEM, two veterans groups, a womens/childrens shelter and Operation Smile.

The OBX Blanketeers members have been making quilts for donation since the year 2000.
