NC Cooperative Extension in Currituck County has announced an opportunity for private pesticide applicators to earn V credits for their private pesticide applicator license. The training opportunity will be held on Thursday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Currituck Extension Center.
Training will cover the V credit portion of the private applicator license, which is required every three years. This will be presented by Chris Hassell, NCDA&CS pesticide inspector II. Register for this event through Eventbrite at bit.ly/43g5a2e.
Pesticide license holders with North Carolina Private Pesticide Applicator licenses set to expire in 2025 need to receive two hours of X credit and two hours of V credit by the NCDA&CS cut-off date of Sept. 30, 2025. License holders have three years to receive their credits and can search the Dept. of Agriculture’s website or call the Extension office to check how many credits you have for the current license period. The 2025 Northeast Ag Expo Summer Field Day will be July 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and attendees will have the opportunity to receive two hours of X credit.
