The Kill Devil Hills Police Department has reported that on Monday, March 17, 2025 at around 12:30 p.m., Christian Jenkins, 16, was located safe in Missouri with his dog and truck. Jenkins left his residence Saturday afternoon and there had been reported sightings of his truck in western North Carolina and Tennessee on Sunday.

“The Kill Devil Hills Police Department would like to thank the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D Troopers and Communications for their assistance,” stated a KDHPD news release.

“The Department appreciates the media’s and public’s understanding about the sensitive nature of this investigation and no further details about the incident will be released,” the release continued.
