On a gorgeous sun-drenched day, the Dare County Delta Zeta Chapter of the educational society NC DKG met with their adjunct group, the northeastern North Carolina Pi Chapter, where they dined for brunch at BJ’s Carolina Cafe in Jarvisburg.
These women had a “meet and greet” session, with special focus on recently-deceased Marjalene Thomas, a participant of both groups over her long educational journey. They also talked about the importance of their roles in leading younger people into the education profession, and what it means to each of them in their roles as active or retired teachers.
Most importantly, noted a group representative, they met new friends, or joined in with others they hadn’t seen for many years.
