Manteo woman facing charges for forgery, uttering

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has reported that arrest of a Manteo woman on charges of forgery, uttering and larceny by employee.

According to a DCSO news release, on March 13, 2025 the Dare County Sheriff’s Office was informed that Christina R. Walker, 36, of Manteo, had obtained business checks and forged signatures. “Upon further investigation, probable cause was established, warrants were issued for the arrest of Ms. Walker,” stated the release.

Walker was charged with two counts of felony forgery of endorsement, two counts of felony uttering forged endorsement, and one count of felony larceny by employee. She was issued a $60,000 secured bond.
