With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Melea Jane Ray on April 10, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother, Joan Seagraves; her father, Clyde Bowling; and sister, Valerie McClintock.

She is survived by her partner, Dwain Mason; as well as Gabriel (Dawn) McClintock, Tracey McClintock, and Bryan McClintock. Melea is also survived by her brother-in-law, Glenn McClintock; and niece, Autumn McClintock.

Melea enjoyed fishing, biking, riding her motorcycle, the beach, and artfully decorating her home, a skill learned from her many years working at the local Home Depot. Melea simply loved adventure and good times.

A memorial gathering will be held at Powell’s Point Baptist Church in Powell’s Point, NC at 2 p.m. on May 17, 2025. Please share expressions of sympathy with the family at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
