As the sun shines brighter and the coastal breeze picks up, the Outer Banks is bursting into bloom – and that means one thing: farmers markets are back in full swing. From fresh produce to artisanal cheeses, and from vibrant flowers to hand-crafted goods, the region’s spring and summer markets promise to bring the best of the Outer Banks’ agricultural and artisanal bounty to your doorstep. Whether you’re a local foodie, a seasonal visitor, or just looking for a taste of the region’s unique charm, this season’s farmers markets are shaping up to be the perfect place to find fresh flavors, meet local artisans, and soak up the sun-kissed spirit of the Outer Banks!

Wednesday, August 6 at Whalehead in Historic Corolla Park

First Flight Farmers Markets at Aviation Park

Every Tuesday from June 17 through August 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There are typically about 50 local vendors that participate in the markets, food trucks and sometimes live music. Vendors offer a wide variety of goods from sweet and savory treats, woodworking, photography, paintings, jewelry, candles, bath and body items and so much more – you’re sure to find tons of one-of-a kind items for yourself and others! The markets are located at Aviation Park, 103 Veterans Drive. Parking is available at the park and overflow parking is available at the First Flight High School (directly across the street).

Nags Head

Farmers Markets at Dowdy Park

Every Thursday from June 12 through August 21, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dowdy Park’s popular summer farmer’s markets are back for the 2025 season! They take place every Thursday. With many vendors returning from prior years, no more applications for new vendors are being accepted. The town asks that customers park at Nags Head Elementary School next door or across South Croatan Highway at the YMCA.

Soundside Spring Market Series at the Soundside Event Site

Saturday, April 19, Noon to 4 p.m.

*Rain date: Saturday, April 26, noon to 4 p.m. Explore the vibrant spirit of our community at Soundside Market in Nags Head. Downtown Market on the Manteo Waterfront

Every Saturday from May 10 through September 13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Town of Manteo’s Downtown Market is a popular weekly event held on Saturdays for locals and visitors alike at George Washington Creef Park. Enjoy wonderful fresh produce, yummy baked goods, local arts and crafts, and other goodies!

Secotan Market in Wanchese

Every Saturday May – September, 8 a.m. – Noon

A producer-only farmers market in Wanchese featuring fresh produce, vegetable ferments, kombucha, pasture-raised meat and eggs, pecans, mushroom products, pastries, pies, cakes, jams, pickles, honey, medicinal products, flowers, herbs, spices, teas, potted plants, natural skin care, rotating artisans and so much more! Dog-friendly, leashes required. Located at 2868 North Carolina Highway 345, Wanchese.

Old Trent Market at Frisco Woods Campground

Every Thursday from May 15 through October 30, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Weekly pop-up market at the Frisco Woods Campground with local artisans, makers and more. Located at 53124 NC Highway 12, Frisco. Pets are allowed on-leash. Enjoy a bite from Tavern on 12 right next door and shop this family-oriented, fun market this season!

Tri-Villages Summer Market at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground

Every Saturday from May 24 through September 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Tri-Villages Day Market starts on Saturday, May 24th, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with artists and makers on the sound side lawn at Camp Hatteras Campground. Enjoy delicious treats, local art, and more! Located at 24798 NC Hwy. 12, Rodanthe.
