Anglers made the most of a bluefish “blitz” Monday afternoon at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head.

Michael Nesbitt of Raleigh, shown here, was kept busy catching one after another and this one was pushing 19 -inches long.

Nearly every fisherman jigging for the blues were using Got-Cha plugs, a tried-and-true lure for pier fishing.

A couple of red drum were also spotted.
