First Friday festivities in Manteo will be held May 2 and Downtown Books will be welcoming Hatteras author Jan Dawson for a book signing.

Dawson has just published the third book in her Hatteras Island novel series Tangled Lines, a stand-alone sweet romance that has ties to characters in her previous novels, Storm Season and Hooked On You.

Readers who like stories about resolving inner conflict and learning to follow one’s heart – with an Outer Banks setting! – will enjoy Jan’s latest book with its story of untangling all the lines of love.

Dawson will be at Downtown Books, Roanoke Island’s independent bookstore located at 103 Sir Walter Raleigh Street, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. signing books, greeting friends and meeting fans.

“First Friday is a great night to come to downtown Manteo where you’ll find live music throughout town, later shop hours, art show openings, trunk shows, book signings and more!” stated a news release from Downtown Books. “Call up a friend and say ‘Meet Me In Manteo! But first, meet me at the bookstore!’”
