The 55th Reynolds family reunion is set for 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Tyrrell County.
This is a reunion of the descendants of William Reynolds Jr. and his sister Matilda Jane Reynolds Spencer, both originally from Chelsea, England. William Reynolds Jr. lived in Tyrrell County and became a Primitive Baptist preacher, while Matilda Jane Reynolds Spencer lived near Roper in Washington County and ran a local store.
Organizers noted that attendees are encouraged to bring any items of family interest that they have – such as old pictures, family bibles, diaries or handiwork – to the reunion for “show and tell.”
On this year’s program: “That England Connection – Loose Ends: Where we stand on the search for our Reynolds ancestry in England, what we still need to learn, and how using DNA records could help!”
