The North Carolina Education Lottery has reported on a big win on a scratch-off ticket.

Frankiel White, of Seaboard, could not contain her excitement late Tuesday night after a $5 scratch-off purchase turned into a $150,000 win.

“I was screaming and yelling so much it woke the baby up,” she laughed. “It was just a perfect moment.”

White said she got so excited she couldn’t fall asleep.

“It was just crazy,” the Northampton County woman recalled. “It was like a dream.”

She purchased her lucky Xtreme Cashword ticket from Duck Thru Food Store on West Central Street in Seaboard.

“We are all just so excited,” she said. “This is the best.”

White collected her prize at lottery headquarters Wednesday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $107,626.

She plans to use her winnings to buy a car, help out her family, and put the rest in savings.

The Xtreme Cashword game debuted in October with six $150,000 top prizes. Two $150,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
