Hyde Historical & Genealogical Society gathers for spring meeting

The spring meeting of the Hyde County Historical & Genealogical Society was held during the afternoon of May 18, 2025 at the Fairfield Christian Church.

More than sixty-five were present to hear featured speaker Robert Anthony speak on the topic of “Early Hyde County Boat Builders and Shipwrights.”

Anthony is a curator emeritus, North Carolina Collection, Wilson Library, UNC-CH and
a founding director of the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center.
