Fifth grade promotion at Cape Hatteras Elementary packed the cafeteria

Fifth graders at Cape Hatteras Elementary were promoted to the sixth grade and Cape Hatteras Secondary on Thursday, June 5, 2026.

The elementary school’s cafeteria was filled with families as was parking for the event. Numerous awards were presented to the students, including Math 24 Science Olympiad, Book Club, Chess Club, Field Day, Safety Patrol, Art Awards, Student Council, DLI Recognition, DLI Homeroom Awards, Kristina Tray Homeroom Awards, Erin Burd Homeroom Awards, All Year Honor Roll, All Year Principal’s List, Students of the Year and the prized Completion Certificates.
