Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” – Luke 16:10a NIV

As the warm summer months approach, families begin planning their vacations, with the beach being a popular destination. The vibrant scene of colorful umbrellas, bright towels and playful beach balls quickly becomes the backdrop of a busy, festive season. Growing up, we cherished our vacations and the anticipation that came with them. Each day brought a new adventure, whether it was enjoying the sunny beach or finding joy in the rain. We learned to make the most of whatever we had, whether it was the sand, the sea or a rainy day.

This philosophy has stayed with me throughout the years. I have seen people with very little, yet they live with such richness, creating contentment and joy from what they have. God seems to bless them with more because of their gratitude and willingness to appreciate what they have. On the other hand, there are those who seem to have it all, yet they are dissatisfied, always craving more.

I believe God wants us to enjoy each day He gives us, finding the hidden treasures within each moment. When we make the most of what we have, we show our gratitude to God for the gifts and opportunities He provides daily. As Psalm 126:3 reminds us, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

Let’s choose to embrace each day with the same excitement and gratitude, making the most of the little things as well as the big.

“Do not wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect.” – Unknown
