Virginia angler lands 40-plus pound king mackerel in Nags Head

Jackson Burr, of Hanford County, Va., landed this beautiful 40.5-pound king mackerel while pin-ring fishing with a live bluefish off the end of Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head last Tuesday morning.
“This is the biggest one I’ve ever caught,” said Burr.
He planned to share fish steaks with other anglers.
