February sheriff’s blotter released

The Dare County Sheriff has issued the February 2019 blotter, which is a record of felony crimes reported in unincorporated Dare County.

Ten crimes are reported. Half the crimes were committed on Roanoke Island. Two crimes are reported from Colington Island. Two crimes were reported on Hatteras Island and one from Wanchese.

Firearms were stolen in Colington and bulkhead material stolen in Wanchese.

Feb. 1: Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. 200 block of Airport Rd., Roanoke Island. Ebay scam.

Feb. 12: Breaking and Entering and Larceny. 1000 block of Harbour View Dr., Colington. Firearms stolen.

Feb. 16: Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle. 100 block of Fields Dr., Roanoke Island. Change stolen from unlocked vehicle.

Feb. 17: Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle. 100 block of Sarah Mae Carver Lane, Roanoke Island. Purse stolen.

Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle. 100 block of Bartow Dr., Roanoke Island. Coat stolen from unlocked vehicle.

Feb. 18: Breaking and Entering and Larceny. 50000 block of Timber Trail, Frisco. TVs stolen.

Feb. 21: Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. 200 block of Outrigger Dr., Colington. iTunes gift card scam.

Feb. 22: Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle. 39000 block of Wahoo Circle, Avon. Watch stolen from unlocked vehicle.

Feb. 26: Larceny. 200 block of Tillett Road, Wanchese. Bulkhead material stolen.

Feb. 28: Larceny. 100 block of Scuppernong Rd., Roanoke Island. Jewelry stolen.
