Maleta Basnett Gray

Maleta Basnett Gray, age 69, of Buxton died Tuesday, November 6 surrounded by family.

A native of Buxton and one of seven children, she was born October 28, 1949, to the late Raymond and Grace Basnett.

Maleta was a homemaker, decorator, landscaper and one fine cook.

Maleta is survived by children Leonora Vernesoni (Jonathan) and Maleta Slaughter;  grandchildren Grace Vernesoni and Jonathan Vernesoni Il; siblings Eula Stowe, George Basnett (Judy), Darlene Basnett and Charlene Perkins (Paul) and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life was set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 at Heritage of Faith Family Church in Frisco.
