It is officially the turn of the season into Fall. This is the time of year that I could romanticize that I would cook warm soups and stews in the crock-pot and settle in for a time in front of the fireplace. Maybe going to a pumpkin patch, too, while enjoying some crisp weather after a hot summer.

Fall brings beautiful colors and decorations. The wreaths, pumpkins, straw bales and withered corn stalks are abundant! And adding yellow and orange mums to the mix will add color to the landscape as well. The fall flag will go up and then it will be complete. Reminiscing about living up north previously, I realize how much I do miss the change of seasons. We would rake up the fall leaves and plant fescue grass seed that would be in full throttle by November 1. Our lawn would be worth photographing and I admit I always did!

I like when the seasons change, if not according to the weather, but by the calendar. It is a chance to re-set. Taking stock of how we are doing, reviewing the choices we have made and make little tweaks going forward. But most importantly, reviewing where we are spiritually. Are we honoring God with our decisions? Are we spreading His Word? Would someone look at us and know we follow God or would they have to wonder? Do we make ourselves available to be helpers to Him? So much to think about. Are we upholding the promises we made to God to live for Him? There’s still time to harvest before winter comes. Invite someone to church. Pray with a person that’s hurting. Do all we can do to plant godly seeds among Hs people and then pray for His anointing to bring them closer to Him. That is a harvest! Doing Kingdom work is pleasing to Him. And living in Gods Favor allows us to dream with expectation that as His Children, we can enjoy the harvest fruits of His Love and Abundance too, through our obedience.
