Benjamin Franklin Skiles Jr.

Benjamin Franklin Skiles Jr., 76, of Plymouth died Thursday, October 11 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Born September 1, 1942 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Skiles Sr. and Evelyn Twiddy Skiles and was preceded in death by his daughter, Gina Skiles Mayer.  He was a retired fiber processing sales/service superintendent with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and member of Saints Delight Church of Christ.

Survivors include wife Katherine Davenport Skiles of Plymouth; daughter Amy Jo Skiles of Plymouth; sons Benjamin Skiles and wife Molly of Roxbury, Conn. and Eric Christensen and wife Amanda of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; sisters Kaye Skiles Pruden and husband Tom and Carol Skiles Hall and husband Donald both of Roper; brother, Dale Skiles of Greenville; son-in-law, Mercer Mayer of Roxbury, Conn.; grandchildren, Caleb McNair, Justine McNair, Benjamin Mayer, Zeb Mayer, Arden Mayer, Matilda Skiles, Harlan Christensen and Elise Christensen and a great-granddaughter.

Respecting Frank’s wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saints Delight Church of Christ, 4670 Mackeys Road, Roper, N.C. 27970.
