Nancy Miner Readling

KILL DEVIL HILLS – Nancy Miner Readling, 86, of Kill Devil Hills died in the early morning of Friday, February 2, 2018 at her home at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Kill Devil Hills. Nancy was born October 31, 1931 in Glen Ellyn, Ill.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Miner and Ida Ratcliffe Miner, sister of the late Meta Tanner, wife of the late Charles Lee Readling and the mother of her son, the late Michael Scott Readling.

Nancy completed a federal government career with the Department of Commerce, NTIS Division in Springfield, Va. Nancy moved to the Outer Banks of NC in 2009 to be closer to her daughter. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and all the friends she made while living here.

Nancy is survived by one daughter, Terri Lynn Readling and a special daughter, Sherri Hopkins, both of Kill Devil Hills; one brother-in-law, Borgon Tanner of Canada; many extended family members, and a host of dear friends.

A local visitation will be held at the Gallop Funeral Services Nags Head Chapel, m.p. 16, Tuesday, February 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Summersett Funeral Home Chapel in Salisbury Friday, February 9 at 2 p.m. The visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral from noon to 2 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

The family would like to offer special thanks to all the staff of Visiting Angels, Spring Arbor Assisted Living, and Dare County Hospice for all their support.
