Maxine Pulley King

KDH, NC– Maxine Pulley King passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday February 9. She is met by her son Timothy Kevin King, who went before her on Feb 14, 1980.

Maxine was born in Chesterfield, VA on February 12, 1930 to the late John and Selma Pulley. She married her husband Oliver Clay King in 1948. Together they raised a family in Annandale, VA. Following retirement in 1989 Clay and Maxine moved to Kill Devil Hills.

Maxine leaves her husband of 69 years Oliver Clay King. Her daughters Karen Lynn King-Jones, Lisa King Park (Christopher) Laurie King Klakamp (Don). Her grandchildren Roger Carlton Jones Jr. Richard Clay King, Gary Allen Jones, Timothy Clay Jones, Shelby Nicole Park, and two great grandchildren Skyler Paige Heath-Jones, and Greyson Lee Jones. Her step grandson Brandon Klakamp, step granddaughter Rianna Lewis and step great grandson Lorenzo Arambula. Her sister Joyce Holzner and her late sister Joan Wilkinson.
