Feb. 25, 1948 – February 21, 2018

NAGS HEAD, NC ­- Paul Edwin Conning, 69, of Nags Head, NC died Wed., Feb. 21. Born in Freeport, NY on February 25, 1948, he was the son of the late Edna Filbig Conning and Harold Conning.

A Vietnam War veteran, Paul served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

Paul is survived by his wife, Mary Conning; a daughter, Kerri Conning; two brothers, Bruce Conning and his wife, Geri, and Michael Conning and his wife, Brenda; many nieces and nephews; and extended family.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, February 26, at Holy Redeemer by the Sea Catholic Church by Rev. John A. Hanley, osfs. Following the mass, the family will receive friends and relatives for a Celebration of Life reception in the parish hall.
