Library offers technology, genealogy instruction

The Currituck County Public Library in Barco has appointments available for persons wanting to learn more about technology and/or basic genealogy.
One-on-one technology instruction is available with library staff for any topic of interest, including learning about basic Microsoft programs, creating a resume, submitting online job applications, how to use a tablet, working with images, creating social media and email accounts.
Appointments for this instruction are available every Thursday at 2, 3, or 4 p.m. Call the library to set up a time at 252-453-8345.
Appointments are also available with staff to learn how to get started tracing your ancestry. Call the library to schedule an appointment.
The library also hosts an informal Genealogy Club that welcomes new and experienced genealogists to come to the library and talk about their research methods and findings. The group will be getting together at 11 a.m. on Saturdays, April 14, May 5 and June 2.
