MedFlight Open House set for Saturday, March 24

Dare County EMS will host an Open House at the Dare MedFlight Hangar in Manteo on Saturday, March 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The entire family is invited for an up-close look at the County’s medical helicopter and to learn about the rapid medical transport service, one of the few county-owned aeromedical operations in the entire nation.

An ambulance will also be on display so everyone can climb in and take a look.

In addition, there will be refreshments and games for the kids.

The hangar is located at 1078 Driftwood Drive in Manteo. Parking is available across the street from the facility.

“We hope everyone will take this opportunity to visit,” said EMS Chief Jennie Collins. “This open house will provide citizens and visitors an opportunity to come by, meet the crews, see the equipment, and learn about our services.”
